I actually LOVE that dress with the sash. It makes me think words like vintage, classic, and timeless. It also gives me a happy feeling! :) If I were you, and looking to spice it up a bit, I would find a big, round, sparkly broach to place on the sash where it ties. I think it'd add just the right amount of pzazz to the ensemble! If you really really don't like that black sash, one like the one worn by Mrs. cowboy boot (?)- the champagne and roses sash she bought- would look Fab on there as well!
Good luck!
A broach sounds interesting! We had a really hard time trying to figure out how to tie the sash and I didn't really like how it looked where the knot came together. A broach may be a good solution.
I will have to look at Mrs. CowboyBoot wedding as well.
Thanks!
mmmm... what about adding something like this to the back of your dress..

My dress is made out of silk and has lace on top - and I do really like it when I try it on - I just am worried that it will seem really boring in pictures (and maybe in person too!).
I really don't like the black sash that is in the picture below - I tried in on with the sash at the bridal store and loved it, but now it seems way to overwhelming. Under the sash is a thin ivory "belt" that runs around the dress with a really tiny flat bow on front - it covers where the lace stops. I can have that removed if I end up wearing something else around my waist - or leave it as is. Unfortunately I don't have a picture without the sash...
The dress hasn't been altered at all yet, and I will be wearing a slip underneath to help keep the dress as an A-line shape as well.
Suggestions, please??
