I had a close friend who altered a dress from a size 12 to size 4 and it still looked amazing. It had a lot of beading too, and even a corset that was altered. The key thing is to find a fabulous tailor. Get references.

I bought a Sadur dress from Pronovias sample sale this past March. Since it's a sample sale, I got the size 10 but I'm originally size 2 in dresses (size 4 in wedding dress). I'm worried that if I get the dress altered to my size, it may ruin the silhouette and the re-beading on the top bodice plus be charged with more than what I paid for the dress.
Has anyone ever gone through this alteration before? If so, what was the result?
