I think it should be okay but I’m a person who doesn’t care if someone wears white to my wedding.

I don’t think it matters as long as the overall “theme” of the dress (i.e. casual, formal, etc.) works with the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses.

I don’t personally think it matters. I had a strapless gown and my BMs had halter-esque gowns.

I don’t think it matters either – I had a strapless and my Bridesmaid or Best Man were in sweethearts.  I think the only thing that mattered is that my strapless highlighted my broad shoulders just a little more than theirs! Haha maybe it matters a little if it’s that way….

My BMs’s dresses have the same neckline as mine.  I just thought it looked weird for them to be different.  Of course, I’m pretty OCD, and I see plenty of pictures where the necklines don’t match and they look just fine.

this was something i was a stickler about. i was wearing a strapless semi-sweetheart and my bridesmaids are going to be in a nice one-shouldered number

i think it all depends on how you feel and the overall look you want to get- at 1st i wasnt sure i wanted them to have strapless like me. I will be making my neckline a lil more sweet heart whereas they wont, but thats because i wanted to change the look of mY dress- not because of the bridesmaids.

It depends on what you want but I actually think it would be nice to have similar necklines.  I like having a sense of Unity between the bride and her bridesmaids.  As long as your dress is prettier and more formal, I think having somewhat similar bridesmaid dresses will complement your dress.

I think it’d be nice to have that consistency across all the dresses 🙂

I don’t think it matters at all. The top of my dress and the top of the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are actually really similar- they both have ruching, and are both sweetheart necklines.

I dont see a problem with this either. I was worried about going strapless with my girls mainly because I was worried about how well the strapless would support their “girls”. I didnt want them pulling up their dress all night and when it comes to dance time, I dont want a “girl” popping out. In the end, the bridesmaid dress I ended up falling in love with was a one shoulder 🙂 My dress has spaghetti straps
