Here is my wedding dress:
Melissa Sweet-Lace Detailed Ball Gown
I am using a website called Weddington Way that offers bridesmaid dresses from numerous designers that you can compare side by side. This is the dress I currently have picked out for the girls:
Alfred Sung-Peau De Poie in Midnight
Do these two dresses go well together for a vintage style themed wedding? Or should I go with another one of these dresses?
These are all Alfred Sung in Midnight in Peau De Poie-

Dress 1 will go perfectly 🙂

@lovelylight99: If you are looking for the best match to your dress, dress one is the best match.

Dress 1 will go perfectly with your gown. Your dress is BEAUTIFUL btw!

@pengoala: Thank you! It wasn’t the type of dress I thought I would like or would look good on me! But the moment I put it on, I just knew!
Thanks for the advice, I thought first one looked pretty good with the wedding dress but wanted some other people’s opinions! This is why I love Wedding Bee. Plus my FI appreciates it because I have somewhere else to talk about the wedding other than to him! LOL

I agree with previous posters that dress #1 will look great with your dress (and theme). The other dresses are nice, but I think if you’re looking for the dress that looks best with your gown, dress #1 is the one to pick.

I think #1 is best. Looks flowy and soft like your dress.

@lovelylight99: I also think dress 1 will look perfect with your dress, such a great combination. I also love your dress btw!

@happylizzle: Aw, thanks! I love my wedding dress, it has such a classic look and design to it! It also has buttons all the way down the back of through the skirt too which is something I have not seen in a long time! I think the first choice with bridesmaid dresses has a very classic and elegant look to them especially in contrast to my wedding dress. I was originally going to go with knee-length dresses in the same design but thought floor length would look more elegant for an evening wedding.

@lovelylight99: I love number one! Have you ever seen the peau de soie fabric in person, though? I have a friend who loved it online, and when we went to stores really didn’t care for it. I would definitely purchase a swatch from them before you decide for sure!

@jo.lee: Yes I ordered swatches from Weddington Way. They actually sent it to me free of charge which was kind of nice considering each swatch costs 5 bucks plus shipping! They sent a sample of Peau De Soie and the Dupioni. The Dupioni is pretty in that it has texture but it also looks like it would wrinkle more easily than the Peau De Soie. I am not sure which one to go with because the colors look alike but the material is vastly different. I don’t if more brides use Dupioni more or Peau De Soie? The Dupioni looks like raw silk with texture but the Peau De Soie isn’t too bad either. LOL I have no idea….

Yes, I think the option you chose works very nicely

@lovelylight99: I’m not sure which is used more often, either! The peau di soie (gah, that’s hard to spell!) is much lighter and shinier. I’m not sure which would wrinkle more easily, but I would have guessed the peau di soie. In the end, they both look nice, just way different than they do on the website! 🙂

The second dress is more fititng with a vintage theme but I think the 1st dress is prettier.
