After shopping for months and not feeling terribly inspired by any dress, I found Enzoani’s Finley at a sample sale for a price too good to turn up!
As my wedding date nears (Feb. 22!) I’m starting to think about how I want to style my dress. My family is divided into two passionate camps when it comes down to the belt. My dad is pretty vocal about disliking the belt. My mother, however, feels the dress needs a belt — even if it isn’t the one that came with the dress. She thinks I should use the provided belt, or look for another one that might work better.
What do you think? #teambelt, #teamNObelt or #teamNEWbelt?
With the original belt
Without a belt! (And with me holding my dress into a slight sweetheart shape, which I might do. Perhaps I’ll get your thoughts in another post!)

I don’t think the original belt looks bad, but I do think you should look for different belts just to see what is out there. Perhaps one that flows better with your dress. Etsy has A TON of belts. Try there. I would suggest one with some really pretty lace flower details and some beading on it?
Also, I support the sweetheart neckline 🙂
I am loving that dress, btw! Great choice!

@chiickadee: I quite like that belt!

I am having the same predicament with my dress and think I have decided on no belt. It’s so hard to decide though isn’t it! I think I prefer yours with a belt. You look amazing in your dress!

@taylorkirby: Thanks! I hadn’t thought to look on Etsy but that’s a great idea. I peeked at a few belts in the bridal salon but the price tags scared me off a bit. Some of them were as much as my dress!

@Sam22xx: Thanks for your thoughts. It is a hard choice! Feel free to post your pics here if you want others to weigh in. 🙂

First of…this dress is beautiful…Second..your body is perfect :)…Third…I think this dress does need a belt for sure..it can be the original (I like it a lot)..or you can try a different one..

I like it with the sweetheart neckline and a belt
but not that belt.

I think this dress definitely needs a belt! The original one isn’t bad but if YOU don’t like it (because it has to be about what YOU think – it’s your wedding and your dress!) you can always get a different one. Maybe a narrow, all-over-sparkly one?
Also, I’d leave the neckline as it is. Sweetheart necklines are nice but I don’t think your dress needs one, IMHO.
You look incredible, btw 🙂 I love your hair!

I LOOOOOOVE the belt in the first picture. Really gives the dress that look. The belt is awesome

I definitely prefer it with a belt. I personally love the style of the original belt, but I agree with PP’s that it may be worth shopping around for other options.

The original belt isn’t bad, but I would look for some others to try with the dress. That dress looks great on you btw!

I think you definately need a belt. I like the original but if it’s not your style, you should try and find something else.
