I need some help with my wedding dress choice. I bought the poofier dress and had second thoughts two days later. I ended up cancelling the order, because I am torn between the two looks. I absolutely love the tighter fit; however, I am 4′ 11″. I’m told that this look can make me look short and chubby. BUT, the poofier dress doesn’t show that I have any curves and I feel that it makes the illusion I am heavier than what I am. HELP!! They are both beautiful dresses and they are two completely different looks/styles. Which would you choose if in my shoes?!
I should also mention that on the fuller dress, I was going to remove the bow and the waist band is only pinned on to see a different look.

I love them both but really like the look of your second dress. I actually love the bow too!! Beautiful dresses girl… good luck!

They both look gorgeous on you! I don’t think you could go wrong with either one. That being said I prefer the fuller one, I just love that style dress and it looks amazing with the belt/sash minus the bow. BUT go with what you love and want you have to be happy with it and feel like a bride.

The best advice I can give you is that you’ll know when you found your dress, no questions asked. I was going through a similar issue (though I’m almost a foot taller then you, lol) and I called it dress bipolar. I just really liked 2 completely different styles of dresses. But when I put on the dress that I ultimately bought I knew that was my dress, no questions asked. You have plenty of time still, I would recommend continuing shopping!

Personally I love the tighter fit. I had the EXACT same issue.. I wanted a mermaid style, but everyone said it wasn’t made for my height and petite body frame, so I ended up with a poofy dress. I then had my poofy one altered to be more tight and fitted and I LOVE it! I think you should go with what you look and feel most beautiful in. From the picture, you do not look chubby at all! You look gorgeous! I have attached my poof and then tight version.

PS – you look beautiful in both. But its hard to tell your height in pictures, and form fitting gowns do tend to make people look shorter.

I prefer the poofier dress. I think it’s gorgeous with that beaded waistband (minus bow). I don’t think that the tighter dress makes you look short or chubby, it just isn’t my favorite style.

Thank you everyone. I’m going to post one more picture showing the front of the dress. I was embarassed to post the picture because it’s not very flattering. Let’s see what you think of this one…

Definitely go with the ball gown! You look gorgeous in it! You look very pretty in the tighter style, too, but even better in the poofier one!

I like the first one, but I guess it would depend on what look you want. If you originally like the poofy one you should get it and its a beautiful dress too.

I think you look great in both but I prefer the ball gown. With that said I think you need to go with whichever one makes you feel better about yourself. It sounds like you don’t feel beautiful (even though you are) in the ball gown, so maybe a the fitted dress is the one that’s right for you.

I’m a fan of the poofier one, but I think you look great in the tighter one, too!

I lvoe them both and I love the bow on the back of the poofier one.

Oh, are you kidding me? Not very flattering my toosh. The ball gown is very beautiful on you.
That said…. I think the more fitted style is beautiful on you too.
I had the same issue you had, and I ended up going with an A-line (and it was a true A-line, not one that had all the extra fullness) because I felt it made me look the thinnest. However, I still miss the more fitted dress when I think back on it every now and then….

I like the form fitting dress. I think you look wonderful!
