Hi Bees! In the process of wedding dress shopping. There’s so many brands…styles…colors…designs…etc. it can be a little overwhelming!
Just curious, what brands do you consider to be:
Budget: under 1000
Higher midrange: 3000-5000
I’m just curious if certain brands are better quality than others. I was looking at Pronovias vs. Casablanca. Also a few Maggies.
Other brands I’ve tried on and wondered about: Stella York, Enzoani, David Tuttera for Mon Cheri, etc.
Interested in your input. Thanks!

As your post suggests, there are many brands of bridal fashion offered at many different price points. You’ve asked an extremely broad question. Perhaps The Hive will be able to be more helpful if you indicate which of those price ranges is closest to your budget; for example, it’s unlikely that you would be looking for dresses in both the less than $1,000 range as well those that cost $5,000 and above.

I have worked in three bridal boutiques and I thought I would share some of the designer price ranges I worked with:
Mori Lee (Mori Lee Collection & Angelina Faccenda Collection): Midrange
Mori Lee (Blu & Voyage Collection): Budget
White One by Pronovias: Budget-Midrange
Maggie Sottero: Midrange-High
Allure: Midrange-High (Allure Couture is High)
Da Vinci: Budget-Midrange
If you want the best bang for your buck check out Mori Lee (especially the Blu collection) and White One (which is basically Pronovias’ affordable collection).

The knot website is great for this! They have a little labeling system and the breakdown is almost exactly what you specified. You can look up virtually any designer sold in the US (or at least the most common ones, definitely the ones you mentioned) and it will tell you the range. Just go to theknot.com and click on dresses.
Here is the key that explains the labeling: http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-tools-help-center/wedding-dress-search-help/articles/gown-search-what-do-those-little-dollar-signs-mean.aspx
