I see what you mean about the ‘uterus pattern’.

I think some good undergarments could achieve the squeeze and tuck effect that you want. I’m not sure what you could do about the ‘uterus’, though.

Other than the pattern in that one area, the dress is beautiful and does look nice on you.

I love the dress. It’s different and beautiful. I’d do it.

You asked for ALL opinions, so I will be honest — I see the uterus thing too!  I don’t think I would have noticed it though, if you hadn’t meniontioned it.  Most people don’t have uterus..ses? uteri? (lol) on the brain so I don’t think many people would pick up on that.

_littlebunny_:   With regard to the shaping question, just get some of the old-fashioned Rago shapewear so beloved on this board. It comes in some very pretty white lace patterns, and many of the pieces have boning, so the shaping effect is tantamount to what you’d get from a structured wedding gown.

However, I have to say, you’re right, that’s a really unfortunately placed design in the lace. I’m not sure I would have noticed it if you hadn’t pointed it out, though. Perhaps this is one of those things that differs by individual gown? See if you can try on a bunch of them in this same size; the design might be differently located on one.

calendula:  I wondered if it just happened to fall at the wrong spot on her, too, but I looked at her link with the dress on the model and the pattern falls in the same place. The model also looks like she has a uterus on her uterus.

That being said, I do not think most people would notice that.  But it might be possible to find a similar style dress without the uterus pattern, if you can’t get it out of your head.

_littlebunny_:  It is a beautiful dress! I agree that shapewear would give the feeling your after, and I do see the “uterus” but I would 100% not have seen it if you hadn’t mentioned it!! You look beautiful! 😀

This dress is BEAUTIFUL!! And it looks great on you! Since you mentioned the “uterus”, I can see what you’re talking about….but I don’t think people will notice/think that, especially because that pattern repeats throughout the dress.

prinprin:  Aw, bummer.

Well, OP, perhaps you can bedazzle the “uterus” just to show folks that you’re “owning” it. 😉

In all seriousness, it’s a lovely dress and I don’t think the “uterus” should be a dealbreaker — but I do worry that now you’ve fretted over it, it will prey on your mind. Perhaps you could look for a dupe elsewhere? It’s a lovely dress but there are a LOT on Etsy (particularly from Lacemarry, I believe) that resemble it closely, sans reproductive patterns.

I love it! I may be biased though, I love everything BHLDN makes, haha.

Oh god, now I can’t see anything else except the uterus!!!! I think that would be a dealbreaker for me.  Imagine, in every wedding picture where your eye will be drawn (and anyone else’s who you mention it to)!

You should check out the Theia White line for similarly styled and priced options.

That dress looks great on you, I love that the lace is a little different than the typical styles we see on here….. but, now that you’ve seen the “uterus” I don’t think you will ever look past it in photos or videos. I’d keep looking if it were me.
