Why couldn’t they rush order a remake of your original dress. I mean it seems from what you say that the fault lay with the designer/dressmaker.

Have you had any alterations done to the new dress? If not I would go back to the store and tell them you are not happy and want them to rush order the old dress at the designers cost (for the rush).

It seems like you were completely happy untill went to get it altered, did you notice these faults before you went in? Were they that big of a problem? Alot of times when this has happened its usually because the alterer is trying to get more money out of you

Oh my gosh that doesn’t sound like a good experience!! Now I’m super worried about my dress (you might remember I bought mine from the same store and same designer)! What was wrong with the embellishments, were they loose? i don’t understand how the lace would still be baggy after it’s taken in? 🙁

I saw your other post – Id love to see pics of ur new dress on Friday!

MrsBlackCat:  Are the bridal store and the dress designer two different businesses (i.e. Santa Monica Bridal Store and Alfred Angelo)?

Because if they are I would skip the store and go straight to the designer with your concerns.

MrsBlackCat:  Thanks for the reassurance 🙂 I’m sure if something’s not right with mine then my mum (who sews) will demand it be fixed for free lol…

I hope you like your new dress and bolero just as much as your original dress?

Here’s a slightly lateral way of looking at your problem. Sure, you found the perfect dress. However, the dress you got was far from perfect. It wasn’t the dress you expected to get and it wasn’t going to be possible to make it into the dress of your dreams. So don’t mourn it. Treat it as a dress that just wasn’t meant to be. I’ll be you’ll look just gorgeous on your wedding day in your new dress.
