@SoontobeMrsFisette:  Oh no! 🙁 Hugs! I know this is as cliche as they come, but i promise you it will be okay!  It sounds like you’re not far off at all, and alterations should be able to do the job.

@SoontobeMrsFisette:  Aw sorry he said that 🙁 Men are not the most tactful with words and often don’t realize the damage they’re doing… (not that that is an excuse! he should not have said that to you!) It’s a good thing you have so much time to sort this out. Don’t worry, it’ll be okay!

I’m willing to bet that the 12 you tried on in the store was stretched out from being tried on, and that’s why it was loose. Lame! I really hope they’ll let you exchange.

@SoontobeMrsFisette:  Don’t over-tink what your FI said. Lots of times mine says things but doesn’t mean them the way I hear them. For example ,maybe your FI was trying to be on your side like “I don’t understand! what happened between then and now!? How could this happen?”… whatever happens you still have lots of time to get into shape and I’ve heard that alterations can work miracles. I’m not sure what size you are now or if you even need to lose weight. But maybe fitting into the dress will give you the motivation you’ve always needed??

Guys just don’t know how to talk , I am sure he thinks your awesome 🙂 .

TryTnot to stress over the dress too much , I am sure a seamstress can let it out. .or maybe add a panel ?

Don’t worry, you have PLENTY of time to lose the weight, and not that much to lose!

If anything, I’d suggest just looking at your diet and eliminating processed foods – eat super healthy for the next few weeks! LOTS of water. Like, TONS of water. And I’d suggest cutting out grains for a bit – basically eating fruits, veggies, meats, and rice. I’ve been eating like this for a while and I love it. 🙂
But I am no dietician! So make sure this is OK for you.

Oh, and BTW – look into some good quality shapewear! It might be a great solution for your big day.

My FI would have totally said the same thing to me – I think it’s because he honestly doesn’t understand women’s clothes sizing. Because men got lucky and a size 30 means 30 inches around, not some arbitrary number like “size 10.” Pffttt.
