I was wondering if any of you could point me to wedding gowns that would cost less than $1000 in Orange County. I know there has been at least one thread asking this same question before (it’s how I found weddingbee in the first place!) but the last thread is THREE years old! I’ve called the boutiques listed in the previous thread and they’ve nearly all quoted me price ranges -beginning- at $1200. I’m actually looking for gowns for my to-be sister-in-law and she’s petite and happens to have kind of expensive tastes for her budget (mermaid with lots of embellishments, think Allure Couture). Tell me, bees, is it possible to find affordable dresses anymore? Or have all designers and boutiques hiked up their prices? Their wedding is at the end of the year and I know dresses can take a few months to finish so I’m feeling a little harried. Any guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

- Wedding: June 2014 - Twin Oaks Garden House
I found a handful at The Wedding Day in Fountain Valley I found my dress there but didnt buy it there. Eventually I found my dress online at a store on the east coast for 300 dollars cheaper so i got it there.

SoontobeMrsFisette: You’re wonderful! I hadn’t even found The Wedding Day in my searches for boutiques. I’m gonna give them a call and check it out. Thank you so much! And congratulations! 🙂

I went to that store too but the consultant who waited on me was rude so I left unhappy. Hopefully it was an isolated case, maybe she was having a bad day?
I ended up going to Jinny’s in Huntington Beach, just a few miles from The Wedding Day. 🙂 there’s also an Alfred Angelo and a David’s in the same area fyi 🙂

Beebityboo: We’ve already been to David’s and after 2.5 hours, she couldn’t find anything she loved. But Jinny’s and Alfred Angelo look really promising. I’ve seen AA mentioned but kept forgetting to look into it. Thanks a bunch! 🙂
