I need some help! I asked about some dresses a few days ago and I’ve decided I’ll custom make my dress with a sweetheart lace top fitted at my natural wasitline and drapped silk chiffon skirt.. I might change my mind again!! But at the moment..this is what I was thinking… Do you girls think I should have a low back like this:
Or lace sleeves with a back like this:
The dress is probably going to look something like this :
My wedding will be in the mountains/forrests in fall and i’m kinda an slight hourglass ish shape, not too curvy but there’s some definition..Do you think this dress will suit me? TIA!!

That is a really pretty dress, and I love the lowish v back. I am a huge fan of dramatic backs, but that front begs to be paired with that lowish v back, not the lace up. Maybe it’s hard to imagine without sleeves.

Wow, that’s going to be one pretty dress. 🙂
I like the low back. It’s a pretty/flattering cut on many people, and it adds a touch of sexiness without going overboard.
I am not a fan of corset-back dresses at all (typically look messy to me), but this style actually gave me pause (I think it’s because the laces are so thin and delicate it looks more like a subtle decorative detail?). Also, that type of lacing looks very apropos for your wedding setting (reminiscent of Claire Pettibone). But in the end I prefer the simple elegance of the low back paired with the strapless.
And that dress style sounds great for your figure (it’ll highlight your small natural waistline).

@ariaK: I love the inspiration for your dress, it’s going to be so pretty. I voted for low back, I am a sucker for the simplicity and understated sexiness of a low-back ball gown. Not a fan of corset lacing at all, especially as your dress looks like it will have quite a bit of detail on the bodice and the skirt already.
