- Wedding: July 2013
So I ordered my dress from bridal exclusives in February. It was an Allure dress and they told me it would be in the last week of May or the first week of June at the latest. I was on vacation and called them on the 12th of June and asked if my dress was in since I had not heard from them. The customer service rep said she saw that it should have been in by the first week in June and said it was probably on its way and that she would check with the designer. I got a call back later saying the dress was not done yet and if it was finsihed that day it would be in by the 26th of June. She said that should be fine if there were no alterations. I told her there were alterations and she seemed worried about that. She said she would call and see if shipping could be rushed and that she would check in with the alterations department and see how long alterations would take. She said she would get back to me in two or three days. After three days I was fully freaking out and my parents decided I should just get another dress. I bought a beautiful dress that was much cheaper. My question is (after such a long story) is it possible to try to get a refund. My parents are saying they will take them to small claims court if they refuse, but the contract they signed said no refunds. The problem I have is we don’t know if the dress would be done in time for the wedding, but decided to get a new one because the last thing i want to be worrying about is if i’ll have a dress for the wedding. I desperately want to help my parents get their money back, but I’m worried that it might be a lost cause. If anyone has any experience with this or any advice I would be so appreciative!
