this is my wedding dress,and it gonna be vintage wedding. some how I feel little plain at the waist area. However, my dress has crystal beading at dipped neckline and on 2 sides of the dress. Should I wear a crystal sash ? Or not?
hope to hear opinion from bees. Thanks

Wow, your dress is gorgeous! I think if you did add something at the waist, it would look nice. But I wouldn’t want to ruin that fabulous low back with a tie. So maybe find a funky crystal brooch or something that you can just attach at the front if you really need some more sparkle. Or have the seamstress sew the sash on the dress so you don’t have to tie it in the back. Whatever you do, I think you’re going to look amazing!

Go try on your dress with a few sashes and see how you like it 🙂 if you do decide to go with one, a seamstress will cut the sash shorter and sew it into the sides of the corset closure, so it’ll go all the way around your front and sides and end at the closure, if that makes sense, without needing to tie it into a bow over the closure

@Pinkdragon: Agree with @christoffels: Try some on to see what goes best with the dress and what suits you. I think it would look good though. Keep us updated.

I like it without a sash. I think sashes are very trendy right now, but I feel like most gowns look best without them. You already have a very defined, tiny waist, so you don’t really need a sash for that purpose.

@peonyinparis: +1. I think it looks great without a sash! 🙂

@Pinkdragon: Well, I think it would look great either way. If you really feel like something is missing though, you could find a sash and as one PP mentioned, have the seamstress sew it on to the dress so there isn’t a bow messing up the back. However, I do think the simplicity of the front of the dress is lovely- it lets the crystals on the bust and the drama of the back take center stage!
