Wedding Dress Help....Train Wreck

posted 2 months ago in Beehive

I bought my wedding dress in Feb of this year. 15 months before my wedding. It is an Alfred Angelo style# . This style dress does not have a train, it's more of a beach style dress. When worn by someone the height the dress was designed for it does not even come close to the floor. I am 5"0 so without shoes on the back of the dress has a very tiny train...basically drags a little on the tips. I didn't think that I would mind not having a train, but as our wedding gets closer I regret not getting a dress with a train.

Recently my Mom and I went to a few dress stores to see if I could find a dress with a train, but I still love my dress. It's the ONE...all the way down to my ankles. We have thought about trying to use a long veil as a substitute, but I think that a long veil with a short dress might look a little funny. We have also thought about creating a detachable train.

Some details: We are getting married in a cute mountain church that is not very fancy. The wedding is semi casual and at 2pm in May.

Does anyone have any thoughts??? HELP!

you could absolutely do a long veil for extra drama if you wanted... so many of the celebrity wedding pictures you see are floor length gowns and long trailing veils.

I'll look around for some pictures to see if I can show you what it would be like.

Your dress is pretty.  I'm 5'0" too so I know how it is when you try things on and the fit is totally different because of where it hits your body...
