i am getting my alterations done with a seamstress in Orange, CA. she’s very experienced and knows a lot! according to her, Casablanca (the bridal brand) often contacted her when they needed things fixed locally rather than send the dresses back to the manufacturer overseas.

whenever i went to her house (she works from home), i would see dresses (bridal, bridesmaid, and a few casual dresses)  waiting to be altered. for custom dresses, she said simpler ones are around $1000, but if the customer is really on a budget, then she’ll work with the customer to choose less expensive but still doable fabrics.

she also has veils and petticoats for rent for only $15 each! great deal huh?!

here’s her contact info:

@biggestpretend: My cousin used Rose DeSimone in Carlsbad, San Diego to design her gown. I went to all the meetings and she was amazing! Very professional and a first class wedding gown seamstress. She is actually a wedding gown designer, however does custom wedding dresses. She designed Jenny’s gown from scratch, did custom fittings, and made everything easy and fun. Jenny’s dress came out gorgeous and she was very happy. Her website is http://www.rosedesimone.com and her phone number is 760-730-0300. If you are seriously looking for a seamstress to design your wedding dress I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Not sure on pricing. She is not cheap, however her work is amazing and she uses silk and includes the veils and petticoats for free! Good luck with your search. PS. I am looking for a good photographer if anyone has any suggestions! Thanks!
