Hey everyone, I need some major questions answered because I am freaking out over here.
Yesterday, I went wedding dress shopping. I had a particular gown in mind (allure 9003), that I really wanted to try on because I am head over heels in love with it. After my consultant pulled some dresses for me, and I hated them all, I asked to try on that specific dress. They carry the allure collection it is in, so I figured they would have it. But I didn’t know the dress number at the time. So I described it as a satin ivory ball gown with crystals all along the neckline, down the front, at the waist, corset back, etc. I even said that it looked like that popular pnina ball gown that is like 10,000 and I would never bring myself to pay for! when she came back with more dresses, she brought ball gowns but none of them were it. Actually, most of them weren’t even satin. I just figured, because I had been so specific, that they didn’t have it. So I found another allure ball gown that I cold do MAJOR alterations to in order to somehwat achieve the look of the other dress. it was 1,000 while the one I really wanted is 2,000. But with alterations I know they will come out to be about the same price and I will be less happy with the one I got. I only put 25% down, because my wedding is exactly two years out. I just needed to pick one because I will out studying abroad for the next upcoming year And unable to shop with my mom. The 25% locked me into the dress so even if it is discontinued the designer must make it for me, but I did not put enough down for it to be ordered. So I can change my mind on the dress. My issue is that I looked at the bridal shops website last night and they advertise that they have the dress I originally asked for! WTF,.!? If I put 25% down on that 9003 dress, then will the money I put towards the other one go towards the new one, or will I lose the $300?
