My wedding is February 8th. I ordered my dress from a local bridal boutique on June 5th. The owner or the shop told me she placed the order with the manufacturer that same day and I would have my dress September. She has been giving me the run around ever since and it’s November and I still do not have the dress!! She keeps telling me “it’s on its way” yet she has no tracking number for me and keeps avoiding my phonecalls. I cannot believe this is happening. She has my $600 deposit and Im out of time to get another dress. Do I take legal action? Has this happened to anybody out there before!?

I see your in fort Myers. There’s still time to get another dress. Hmmm I feel inclined to ask where you ordered from but I don’t know if that’s allowed. Did you get some sort of paperwork with your dress?

can you call the designer directly? It’s your dress after all she is just the middleman so they should answer to you.
If that isn’t possible I’d say maybe right a formal letter stating the original delivery date and say that if the doesn’t give you a clear, written timetable by XYZ date, you’ll see legal action. In always amazed what a strongly worded letter will do.
Best of luck

@nocleverbeepun: +1 Good idea to contact the designer directly and explain the situation. I can’t imagine they would be pleased with this situation, given it’s their stockist who is being dodgy.
At the same time, I would end a firmly-worded letter setting out the details of the purchase, the contract, when she assured you the dress would be delivered and each instance of communication between you and the owner when she gave you the run-around. Say that you will be taking legal action if the dress is not delivered.
