Hi all,
I just picked up my wedding dress to find that it was about 2 inches too small in the back. Although my seamstress said that it was no big deal to "let it out," I still had a mild heart attack.
I did not try to order my dress smaller, as I was not planning on losing any real weight, so I couldn't figure out what went wrong. Here's the thing...when the ladies at the salon took my measurements, they told me I would need a size 10. They then told me the sample size was a 10 and asked me how I felt in it. Well, the sample size was huge on me, like at least a size or two too big, so they suggested ordering down a size. I guess it should be common sense that the sample would stretch some from so many trying it on, but I never would have imagined it would be that much.
I just wanted to make everyone aware not to go by the sample size when ordering your dress. I should have just ordered the size that my measurements suggested instead of going by their suggestion, but I figured they would have warned me about the excessive stretching.
