Wedding Dress Panic Attack?!

    So Bees,

    The wedding is one month away! eeks!

    and as many of you already know...im already "technically" married. we had a civil ceremony last year for a visa and now we are having a ceremony for family and friends in May.

    Well last week I tried on my dress for alterations....and I seriously had a ANXIETY ATTACK. I started breathing harder...i was shaking a little, and just WANTED TO GET MY DRESS OFF!

    Why am I freaking out so much!? it doesnt help when I get nervous or freaked out i turn red all over...like splotches of red.

    uhg....anyone else feel this way? Maybe just nervous?

    OH, I'm sorry that happened to you..why do you think you got so anxious?  Is it just jitters or do you feel like its something deeper?

    Maybe it was just the anticipation. I had that happen to me, but that was before I even got into the store. :) I was so nervous and excited to dress shop!

    See if you can take some vitamin B12 and go for another try on to help calm your nerves..  It's a water soluble vitamin really helps calm the nervous system and I've used it to eliminate those panicky feelings before!

    Being so close to your big day, and putting it on I think makes everything seem more real and then I'm sure there were a billion thoughts going through your mind.  I think anticipation and excitement just got the best of you!

    Sounds like you had a little bit of a panic attack hun 

    But it's ok and you will be just fine.

    I am someone who has anxiety alot but this is just normalbnerves stuff. Things that help me are lots of deep breathing. Breath SLOWLY. Just be still and breath and tell people to be quiet and give you peace for a min. Focus on your breathing and maybe even count so you go nice and slow. This can help you to get centered and slow your breathing and thus relax a little.

    Also fresh cold air is GREAT for helping an anxiety attack. I don't know what it is but it kinda helps to snap you out of it.

    It is ok to get nervous and it's even ok if it happens to freak out. You will be ok. Just try to breath and remind yourself that it is just nerves. you are not dying....I promise :-)

    The "worst" is already over...you're really just throwing a really expensive party. Next time you put it on, just think about putting on an awesome party dress that you know for a fact that nobody else at the party will be wearing.

    Just have fun--you only get to do this once!!
