Long time reader, first time poster!

I am currently wedding dress shopping and have settled on the decision to have it made as nothing is quite right.
I suit form fitting (so fit to flare) dresses yet I want a large, possibly poofy skirt. Obviously one doesn’t tend to work with the other and I’m meeting with my designer in a few days so need at least a baseline idea of something I like!

Would love some inspiration!

For example, the shape of the below is great. But the skirt isn’t quite amazing enough. I don’t know how to describe what I am looking for.

I don’t love ruffles or feathers either.
Something in between would be perfect. Is there such a thing?
Sorry to be so vague.

theluckyonenz: Have you looked at the Martina Liana dress gallery? There are quite a few fit and flare silhouettes on her site. Also Maggie Sottero, she has a large selection. Have you checked those out?

I don’t know if this would be too “ruffly”

theluckyonenz: this might help you to browse different skirt styles, if you haven’t looked there yet: http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-dresses.aspx
just plug in fit and flare into the custom search under silhouettes. It’s where I found the two pictures above.

Thanks ladies. I don’t love either of those two skirts but think this one might be quite nice…

I would quite like it with a bit more body (as it is shown below- I have seen it in person and it doesn’t sit like that normally), would wearing an additional petticoat just be too warm?

So many decisions…

theluckyonenz: I LOVE this Maggie Soterro Sarchi. I love all the lace details and you could always add some bling to that.
