i like that dress too. when i went to davids, it was my top choice.  it is true, i had dress regret with my first dress i bought. i luckily sold it, but still lost a couple hundred dollars…so when i went dress shopping again, i would not let myself buy anything without thinking about for a few and staring at myself in the pics.

Hey, I like that dress.  I think its beautiful especially the bling detail.  Maybe you are just having a panic moment.  If you are sure this is not your dress I would be a little persistant with them and maybe even call the corporate customer service number if necessary.  I believe I read a post here on the bee of a bride that got them to exchange a dress.  Just a thought

I understand the feeling of regret! I got an ivory dress when I really should’ve gone for the WHITE! 🙁 Definitely regret that decision!

You look amazing in this dress!  David’s Bridal will allow you to exchange the dress but you have to purchase something of greater value.  I bought a dress and took it home and 2 months later had doubts…brought it in and asked nicely to return it, they told me they could exchange it for something more…so I spent another $100.00 and got a dress that I love love love!!  I am so happy I went with my gut about the first dress just not totally being “the one”.  Good Luck, it wouldn’t hurt to ask David’s Bridal!!

Your dress is absolutely beautiful, but I totally understand what you’re saying about having second thoughts. Its really easy to get all wrapped up in the moment when you’re standing there in a dress with a consultant pressuring you and a bunch of friends getting more and more excited with each dress you try on. Just remember it’s all about you and you shouldn’t have to settle or “live with” anything on your special day. If Davids Bridal will let you exchange it, thats one solution. You can always try posting it for sale on a wedding website like this one (I think they have a classified section here somewhere). If you’re not sure this is the dress for you that doesn’t mean another bride-to-be wouldn’t love to buy it from you. I had a really bad experience while shopping at a chain bridal store (I’ll be nice and not name names) so I did something totally crazy and bought my dress on ebay for $180. It was made to my measurements and only took 4 weeks. Its a radical idea, but maybe you could get a second dress without busting your budget. Just make sure if you go this route to do lots of homework and check the sellers feedback. Whatever you decide to do, good luck and remember….Its your day; It should be everything you ever dreamed of.
