I bought my wedding dress almost a year ago, it fits me perfectly, it’s perfect for my venue, and it’s beautiful, but I’m worried I bought the wrong dress. My mom bought it for me, and I know she would be devastated if I told her I didn’t like it anymore, so I came here to get some other opinions. The main thing that I don’t like about it is that it’s stiff. I always imagined I would have a flowy dress, not necessicarily smaller then my dress, but less structured. I pinned a Vera wang dress from David’s Bridal, and when I went to try it on they didn’t have it. I had my whole family in town so I tried on some other dresses and ended up buying one that my sister picked out. Now I can’t get the original one out of my head. Should I go try it on? I’ve done everything I was suppose to, stopped looking at dresses, deleted all my old dress pins, but I still think about the other dress all the time.

@Briheide: I’m not great at giving advice, so I won’t tell you what to do, but I’ll say that dress looks really great on you.

@Briheide: found the dress I’ve been thinking about, I actually think it’s gone now…

@Briheide: The David’s Bridal by my house still has that dress, but I live in the US. I tried that dress on because I wanted a flowy ballgown, but it was too big even for me.
I think your original gown is very pretty. You look lovely in it. But if you are not happy, and there is money in the budget, I say at least try this dress on.

@Briheide: When was the last time you tried on your actual dress? If it has been a while (and if you have it) put it on and hopefully you’ll remember why you bought it in the first place. I think it looks lovely on you, and that other dress has been done a million times over. Yes, it’s a beautiful dress, but so is yours. Good luck in making your decision.

I think your dress looks great! Has yours come in yet? You might fall back in love when you try it on again.

I love you original dress!! Have you considered removing the sheer one shoulder? That would be an easy alteration that would bring your current dress a little closer to the second on eyou posted…

I think your dress is really pretty, and not really disimilar to the VW one if you think about it – tulle, ballgown etc. I would probably remove the shoulder detail though, I think it looks more classic as a strapless ballgown.
