Hi Fellow Brides- I’m planning a trip to Seattle next month and hoping to get your advice about which dress shops I should make appointments with. I have one day so I hope to make the best of it. I figure I can do 3 shops in one day. Which dress shops do you recommend?
ME: I have a budget of $3-5k. Although you know, the lower the better LOL. Honestly for the right dress I will make an exception. I really love something different: fun, sexy, sweetheart, fit & flare/mermaid.
Here is what I love so far- I realize these are rather designer brands but I’m really open to any other cheaper brands like Maggie Sottero. Any recommendations would be really appreciated.

Your budget is perfect for Luly Yang! That was my favorite shop and my top three dresses there ranged from 3K to 4800.
My second favorite shop was Something Blue in Puyallup. Unfortunately, it might not work for you because it’s an hour or so south of Seattle. You could get a great dress for under 3K thought. Another option for a very nice dress under budget is Princess Bride in Bothell (third favorite of mine).
With your budget you could go to Marcella’s. I didn’t go there because most of the dresses would have been over my ideal budget of 3600 including alterations. And I’ve heard terrible things about the service, although I don’t actually know anyone who purchased anything there.
Also in your budget is La Votre Bridal Couture. I was not impressed with the shop at all but there are some nice dresses (most of which are unfortunately in serious need of cleaning).

I had my dress altered at Calla Bridal in the Greenlake (my) neighborhood. My dress had long been purchased, but I was lusting after their pretty dresses. The selection isn’t huge though, it’s a small boutique.

Check out I Do Bridal in Seattle. They had the MS Harlow dress for $1,200. When I asked how they could have such reasonable prices I was told they had cut a deal with designers in exchange for not allowing photography. I don’t remember seeing any quite like the two in your pictures but that wasn’t what I was looking for so maybe. I personally got mine at Demetrios in Bellevue area along I90.

I second Belltown Bridal, but keep in mind that they only sell sample gowns, so if you are larger than a size 6-8 you will not find a large selection of dresses. Don’t let “sample” fool you though- I am a fairly standard size 6 and I tried on tons of dresses.
I got my veil at Calla Bridal and while the selection is small, the dresses that they have are gorgeous and I totally wished I had gone there to look 🙁

I’m not sure if you’ve already made the trip (since your post is a month old).
My sister was married in July so we’ve been to a few of the shops in Seattle and the surrounding area/s.
I Do Bridal in Seattle on 45th.
Le Belle Reve in downtown Bellevue.
Also, a good amount of Seattleites Yelp.
