I also go with the seamstress suggestion ,that's what I'm doing.

@ phatkat811 OMG I love that dress!! Have you seen it in "real life" or just on a website? What dress did you end up picking? (please share the link) I'm so going to go and try that dress on, if I can... it's pretty much what I pictured in my head as "the dress" I wanted! :)

I went to the Google Image page and typed in 'Destination Wedding Dresses' and there are a ton that come up. I think you'll for sure find some more inspiration there. I heart Google Imaging, LOL 
This is strapless, but has the same dramatic back like the other dress you liked. I bet you could add straps easily enough if you wanted:

It's very hard finding non-strapless dresses! I refused to have strapless and while there were so many lovely dresses it really did make the search difficult.
Amy Michelson's range has heaps of dresses with straps and gorgeous backs, like the one Kirabee posted.

I tried this dress on and loved it! Google it to see the awesome strappy back. I'm getting married in the fall so it didn't work for me. Also, I think it was like $400 at the Burlington Bridal mart in NC. I almost changed my wedding to spring or summer for this dress!
I agree about the Amy Michelson Grace. I love love love the back! Someone else just posted pictures of her final dress fitting with it if you want to see how it looks in real life.
Wow those are some amazing inspiration pics, especially Aunt Pol and Snuggly. Makes me want to get a reception dress in that style!
Aimee - I tried the Venus dress on in real life. I really liked it - it was very close between that and the one I ended up getting. I chose AD1008 from Destinations by Maggie Sottero because our wedding will have a more simple, romantic feel (rather than "fun" - even though it will be fun, ya know?), and the Maggie fit that better. Also, for practical reasons - it was cheaper (although the Venus was only $700-something) and required fewer alterations on me.
But the Venus is beautiful (better IRL than the pictures) and someone should wear it. :) If I could've had two dresses, that would be #2!

And PS - I also really didn't want a strapless, although I wasn't opposed to the idea. I changed my mind once I put that dress on.

Look at Nicole Miller- she has several dresses like that. Amy Kuschel also has some dresses with cool backs. I ended up with a dress by Alix and Kelly.

I will be getting married on the beach and am really wanting to find a wedding dress with a "fun back" like criss cross, low/open, or strappy.. I am also not a hug fan of the strapless dress. I really want to have a strap or two.. anyone else in my boat? If so have you had any luck finding one? I've looked in (okay only one) bridal store and a bunch of websites and have only found a few that even quality.... thanks so much!
