@KaylaFromAR:  I would just but extra material from the train of the skirt and have a seamstress custom make them.

I am adding straps to my dress and will be doing this. Impatiently waiting for the extra lace to arrive so I can take it to my seamstress. Should be any day now.

@Diamond84:  I agree.

I also had my seamstress take the extra material and make straps. People wouldn’t have been able to tell if I hadn’t told them. They matched perfectly.

Pronovias stock a lot of dresses with sleeves and are very nice! I have tried on some myself and really are lovely!

@KaylaFromAR:  Keep in mind, even if you were not doing alterations to the sleeves, more than likely, your dress will need to have alterations. Perhaps getting it hemmed, taken in from the sides, cups sewn in, etc. You would need a seamstress to do all that, so it’s kinda like two bird, one stone. Rarely will someone not need to get some kind of work done on their wedding dress.

@KaylaFromAR:  Yea, it’s so easy for the guest list to get out of control. Good luck with it and picking your bridal party!

Try out Dalton by Maggie Sottero…. I actually am taking the sleeves off, but here is a picture with the sleeves. The train is very minimal and the dress is so light and comfortable!

you might want to consider wedding dresses under the “modest” category.  Most designers have this category because not everyone wants their arms and chest exposed.

Latterdaybride.com and Adressyoccasion.com have wedding dresses with sleeves.

Most of the dresses they offer have short sleeves, but I think Latter day bride can add full sleeves if you want them to; I’m not sure about A Dressy Occasion, though.

If you want to see their dresses on real brides, each site has a Facebook page.
