I am getting married in January and my cousin got married this past March. unfortunately, everytime i find a dress that i really love, i realize that something about the dress is extremely similar to hers. I guess we like the same styles.. and these days a lot of the styles are similar. I want something I love but i want my own dress too. She wore Kendra by Maggie Sottero and Ive looked at Pauline by Sottero and Midgley and style 2902 by Mori lee. the sottero midgley seems close to identical in the back but the mori lee is very similar in the front from the waist up, but is cheaper. Are these dresses too similar or should i not worry over it??

Get what you want and don’t worry, its not like you are showing up in the same Kendra. If you like the same styles, you should embrace it, instead of settling on something different that is not what you wanted.

Consider too, that you’ll most likely be wearing different accessories. If you love the dress, and get it, but are still concered, get a totally different veil. If it’s formal, a cathedral veil is that perfect “WOW!” If you’re fun and flirty, try a birdcage veil, or a curly edge veil.
Lots of girls out there are “dress twins,” but the accessories (and color/theme of your wedding) will make it your own. And hey, at least you know that you both have good taste!

I decided to go with Mori Lee 2902 and I love it! Now I’m trying to decide on a veil! I’ve had conflicting advice. Some people say really simple veil to keep the focus on the dress because it has a lot going on , but others like more beading and material. We shall see!

You know, I think people can look very different even in the same dress, so I say go with what you love!
