@eapau1:  I had a dress with no train, I’m on my phone right now so I can’t pull up a pic but you can see it on my recap. I still felt very bridal, my cathedral length veil helped though!:)

I explicitly didn’t want a big poofy dress or something that would have a giant bustle.  I bought a lace sheath dress and LOVED it.  Wearing a long white dress makes you feel like a bride no matter what  🙂

Our wedding was fairly casual so I think it fit the setting well.  Not sure if a fancier wedding would be different…  (Although @atlbride2013: ‘s wedding was super fancy and she looked stunningly bridal!)

I’m waiting for pro pics, but here’s a couple:

@eapau1:   Mine has a sweep train – does that count as no train?

Mine is poofy, but no train.

i have a cathedral veil for the ceremony to add in that touch of drama. But I’ll be happy not to deal with a bustle.

Unlike most of you were are having a small intimate wedding. I fell in love with this simple train-less dress!!!

mine has no train. i’m wearing a cathedral length veil, so i have a “train” of sorts, since my dress doesn’t have one.

@eapau1:  I was adamant with not having a train on mine. We’re having a short vows exchange ceremony immediately followed by a cocktail/finger food reception in an art gallery so I thought something formal would feel out of place (and uncomfortable!). That said, the rest of my gown is VERY bridal 🙂

Due to some personal reasons, we decided to do the legal signing a few weeks ago but our ‘main event’ is still happening in April. So I get to wear my dress twice 🙂

I had been thinking of getting a dress with a train but after buying the one I did and feeling slightly disappointed that it didn’t have a train, I ended up actually really appreciated the no train thing.  It really cut down on the hassle of things.  No bustling so no need to take time or have someone bustle it for me, no chance of a bustle breaking and needing repair.  Much easier to move around in for photos, a lot cooler to wear, lighter and easier to dance, etc.

My wedding dress is a sheath and I am *removing* the train! The reason in my case is that there is a lace overlay with some intricate beadwork. Bustling it would be difficult and the beads could catch. I was super nervous about getting rid of the train, so much so that the seamstress would not make any cuts during the fitting where we discussed it because she said she could tell I was “not ready to do this now” Hahaha!!

At my last fitting we pinned it and started the process and I was so happy – it looks amazing!!!

@MichiganGirl24:  thanks girl!  It’s actually from Macy’s (the “Marina dress” – goes in and out of availability) and was $120!!

@beautifullyboheamian:  thanks, yeah, I was going for an earthy boho feel, so a simple dress was a good starting point.  Yours is beautiful!

@eapau1:  Mine came with a train but due to it being winter and all the movement going on instead of bustling and unbustling all night I left it bustled the entire time!
