I went to my 2nd bridal fair and I filled out my information for several vendors and I know exactly who I gave my info to.
I have received multiple emails from vendors that I am 100% sure I never talked to. How did they get my info? Do they all just share brides info with each other?
I didn’t register for the bridal fair, I just purchased my ticket using cash.
Hm…also I’ve received so many spam offers from vendors, it’s crazy!

Did you try on dresses at David’s Bridal (unrelated to the bridal show)? If so, they sell your address, phone #, and name to anyone who wants it. There’s probably a lot of overlap in the vendors that get that info from the expo and DB. Or, the vendors do have an agreement to share all info at the expo. Very likely.

@crayfish: +1 about DB. I got a ton if phone calls and emails after trying on dresses there.
I also went to a bridal show and had some companies email me that I’m pretty sure I’ve never talked to.

I give out fake info when they ask lol. I’ve been to one but it was so crowded it was crazy, couldn’t get close to anything. I think they had me fill out a form in the beginning with my e mail address and all that good stuff, but I never put my real info.

That’s why I created a separate email for wedding stuff. I’ve gotten so much spam and junk mail, it’s ridiculous. Then the phone calls started, and got so bad with one vendor (17 phone calls in 10 day period) that when they called the last time I started crying and said my fiance ran off with my sister. They never called back, so I was happy.

most vendor fairs like that? they share your info with all of the vendors.
DB also does this. i’ve had my dress for over a year, and i still get daily calls from them.

I made up a new gmail account specifically for this reason. But I got a lot of spam from a lot of different people I know I never talked to. And I completely agree about DB… I had someone call me yesterday saying that they were given my name by David’s.
