I am not doing wedding favors (I might do welcome bags because it’s a DW but no actual wedding favors). However, one of my best friends is. She was asking for advice on what she should do for favors. She thought wine stoppers but I have like 6 of those sitting around in my junk drawer from previous weddings and I told her that would be such a waste! I actually told her not to do favors but she is insisting…oh well! She is looking for something around the $2 mark. Maybe something edible or usable??
What is everyone doing for favors?

@Lily_of_the_valley: I think consumable is the way to go; maybe do bottles of water with a custom label with their picture on it, and some fancy crackers to nibble on on the way home from the reception?

Around here, it is tradition to do a cookie table. It’s like a candy table, but cookies instead. I’d put little bags or boxes on the table like you would favors, so you could make sure guests only take one bag.

We are having an outdoor rustic wedding and I know lots of guests will be drinking bottled beer…..so this was my idea 🙂

@weddingbound: she is having a “country chic” wedding. Lots of white, blush, burlap, mason jars. etc.

I’m doing blueberry muffins. I had a coupon for Mimi’s Cafe, they were $.45 a pc. The whole lot was $23, plus $1.50 for the pack of cellophane bags. Everybody loves muffins!

They are easy to make (can be made a month in advance and put in freezer) and really cheap too if you use a box mix and usually w/ cake pops nobody can tell the difference.
For my best friend’s wedding she did cake pops + a donation to charity.
We made these for a bridal shower:

Oh I also went to a wedding where they gave hand dipped oreos as a favour – wrapped them in a cute package and added a tag. I think you can use candy melts to dip them.

We:re doing personalized shot glasses. nicepricefavors.com have amazing and the cheapest items there. Most shot glasses start at 1.50 and depending on quantity price goes down. At NPF it starts at 1.18. We’re having 160 guest at nd it’s 79 cents per glass [35 for personalization] and we found personalized boxes for 45 cents each. Grand total of 233.40 🙂

i like the idea of edible favours.
there are many options that are less than $2/pc. to save even more money, she can always make her own cookies, cupcakes, carmel corn, chocolates, etc and then wrap them up with a ribbon.
