I’m thinking of instead of buying the usual gifts that people throw away or chocolate that gets devoured as they wait for our food to arrive, that I would get a Photobooth and the pics as a gift. Is this acceptible? How has other "bees" done the photobooth idea and do you hand out frames? how does it work

My cousin had a photobooth at his wedding just over a year ago and it was a huge hit! My boyfriend and I totally loved it, and went out of our way to go back several times on off-peak moments of the reception to take more photos. The company my cousin and his wife used (NYC Photobooths) was great to the guests. There was an attendant the entire time who took our photos, cut the sheet in half length-wise, put half in the keepsake book, and instructed us to write a note to the bride and groom. The best part came when we learned that we got to go back and take as many photos as we wanted (and keep them). I actually have one of the sets framed because it brings back great memories!

i would *much* rather have a photobooth than the usual favors! i looove what mrs. cupcake did @ her wedding~ postered the actual booth to personalize it & made coordinating photo mats for her guests:

We’re doing a DIY "photobooth." We got a bunch of inexpensive favors that the guests can put their photos into (magnets, bookmarks, pocket planners). There will be two copies of each photo, so the second one will go into our guestbook. Details are at this link.

I loove the photo booth idea – that’s why I’ve decided to also hire NYC Photobooth! So far they have been a breeze to work with but we’ll see how things go on the day of (not till November). Can’t wait! Originally I was planning to use the photo strips as the only favor. But somehow ended up adding photo booth props for each guest, bubbles, and a handcrafted edible favor arrangement for each guest… I suppose I went a little overboard. But really, the photo strips should suffice. If you’re on a budget I’m sure all of your beloved guests can respect that!
