I would skip the personalization (really no one but you wants stuff with your names on it) and consider that at least some of your guests really don’t want to have their picture taken.

@Jenny_Loo_Davis:  I know it’s very trendy right now as you noted but edible gifts are more often appreciated by guests. We are doing a candy bar because it also serves as a cool looking piece of decor if it is set up correctly.

@Jenny_Loo_Davis:  Trust me, more folks will be put off by having someone else’s wedding date on their souvenir photo than will forget where they were when the photo was taken and benefit from the “reminder.”  People do not like things that are personalized with someone else’s details— just do some searches on “personalized favors” and you’ll see the exact same feedback whether it’s cutesy little shot glasses, photo frames, wine glasses, you name it.

You don’t need wedding favors at all.  However, I’m not a big fan of photo booths at weddings as I find  they can disrupt the energy of the party and lure people away from the main area. It also seems unnecessary as a diversion and frankly, more like something you see to entertain  and distract kids at a sweet 16 party.  YMMV.

M&Ms in your colors would probably be a big hit.

@Jenny_Loo_Davis:  We’re doing a photo booth too. For the same reason as you. It’s a “favor” but it will also be fun. We are contemplating doing a popcorn buffet as opposed to a candy buffet. I found that it’s WAY cheaper than candy and most people like popcorn. Plus it’s a good snack for people who are drinking. You will not please everyone and no matter what you choose, someone is bound to dislike it. Just go with what YOU like! It’s your day!

I’d love some photobooth pictures! Our photog set up a photobooth-type thing at our rehearsal, and people LOVED it!

@Jenny_Loo_Davis:  I think photo strips are the one favor where you WANT personalization. FI and I have them from multiple weddings so its nice to know which is which.

I think the photo booth is a great idea. My friend did it and had little plastic frames the size if the strip so you could take it home. I think the place cards were originally in the little frames so then we could re use them for the photos.

We did a local cookie and people raved about them. Edible favors can never be overdone!

We are using the photobooth as our favor!  Unless it is edible, I don’t see guests truly wanting a favor anyway.
