With only two months left, I am starting to figure out the last of my wedding diy projects, which leads me to wedding favors. I keep going back and forth on whether or not its worth doing. Some guests appreciate them, while others leave them behind. If I do them, it will probably be something simple and diy.
Are any of you ladies doing wedding favors? If so, what are you doing?

- Wedding: October 2013 - The Down Town Club, Philadelphia
We’re not. We are making a donation to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Reseach in FI’s late mothers name.
The only favors I wanted were chocolates, but our caterers are known for an obscene amount of food, and they individually wrap a slice of wedding cake for each guest…so. I guess people will think that’s the favor?
We’re putting the donation information on the inside of the escort cards.

We’re putting cupcake boxes on the dessert table. Guests can take home cupcakes or cookies or whatever they want. And if they don’t want to take any, hey – more left for us! I wasn’t too fussed about favors because people never seem to like them unless they’re edible.

My venue is an old dairy farm and they have a pasture with lots of sheep in it. I love the sheep, so I’m my favors are going to be sheep cookies 🙂

We made a donation to a charity, then customaized and ordered these cards:
I’m very happy with them and glad we went this route, of course after I had spent countless hours searching for favors that I felt people wouldn’t just throw away lol

Our centerpieces have thank you carms on them for favors, they are mason jars with flowers and beads in the bottom with our wedding colors. Also we are having a photo booth, which will have thanks for sharing our day on them!

We aren’t doing favors either. I’m debating on whether to donate to a foundation or not.

I think we’re going to do chocolate bars with customized labels… we really wanted to do an edible favor, and I wanted something that I could make/prepare far ahead of time (no last-minute cookie-baking)

The color theme of my wedding is dark purple and silver, so we’re doing small bags of almond (dark purple wrapper) and plain (silver wrapper) Hershey Kisses.

Fi and I made scented soy candles. Putting them in boxes and wrapping in doilies… the quote written will be… with warmth from our home to yours.

We’re doing mason jars for favors. It’ll double as their cup for the evening.
