For my own favors I am having pewter ornaments made up- our town does this every year for our annual festival and I found out it was relatively cheap!  So I drew up a celtic design incorporating a tree (with a heart "etched" in the tree trunk and K+C) and sent it to the company πŸ™‚

For my own favors I am having pewter ornaments made up- our town does this every year for our annual festival and I found out it was relatively cheap!  So I drew up a celtic design incorporating a tree bordered by an oval with our wedding date (with a heart "etched" in the tree trunk and K+C) and sent it to the company πŸ™‚

My favorite favor was a bottle of wine.  At two recent weddings they gave wine – one gave each person a mini bottle (white or red) and one gave a full bottle to each couple.  Although not everyone drinks – so I guess it depends on the guests.  Or a CD with the couples favorite songs was a good one, too.  Another good one was that the centerpiece of flowers was divided into smaller rectangular vases and grouped together to form one large centerpiece.  At the end of the night everyone took home a piece of the centerpiece – it was like a two in one deal for the bride and groom!

We are going to do a donation to a charity for cancer research, not sure which one, and give leave a note describing it at each seat with a ribbon attached that everyone can wear in support.  This has a special meaning to us and our families.

Good luck and congratulations!!!

I had mini "wedding cake" candles with monogrammed matchboxes in an organze favor bag.  We got the candles here:

They are small and when opened, they smell soooooo good and has silver beads inside. It’s so cute.  My mother in law works for the wholesale department, so we got them for free. Everyone loved them because it was something they could use when they got home.

In addition to a donation favor, we bought small square tins and filled them with brown jellybeans (Root Beer and Choc Pudding), as brown and ivory are our main colors.  Then, we secured the tins closed with brown ribbon and sealed them at the top with personalized labels that have our names on them!

We’re doing Petit Fours in cute little gift boxes from exclusivelyweddings.com.  The Petit Fours are coming from a local bakery. I’m also planning on making sugar cookies in the shape of wedding cakes and decorating them.

we’re probably going to do something simple. we’re going to buy hershey kisses in bulk from their website (although it’s down right now for updates). the paper that sticks out at the top will actually say JUST MARRIED.  they’re cute and we’re putting these in half-pint take-out boxes. then we’re wrapping them with ribbon.

We are doing mini jars of apple butter with personalized labels on them and fabric tied w/ twine over the top πŸ™‚ I know they’re gonna look super cute when done! The whole kit and kaboodle cost about $300ish for 120 favors! Not bad in my book πŸ™‚

@inky_1:  That is such a neat idea! I’d LOVE to get apple butter from a wedding

@Tallulah_:  Thanks! πŸ˜€ Feel free to steal the idea. I ordered a bunch of 4.5-oz jars from this place:

They do way more than just apple butter too! And really reasonably priced πŸ™‚ I loved that they will do it without labels so that I can use my own personalized ones!!
