You could do mini hamburgers, sliders I think they’re called, little smokies (the small hot dogs that are slow cooked in sauce). You could look up cocktail party food, that’d probably give you a good idea of finger foods, and you could make variations from there.

Firstly, if it’s an October wedding I would consider doing the apple cider instead of the punch, which feels very summery. We had a hot cider station at our October wedding with cinnamon sticks and it makes for some adorable photo opportunities, and guests said they loved it.

For some hot food options, I’d consider having a fun, filling station like a mac and cheese bar or a mashed potato bar, either of which could have lots of different toppings (bacon, green onions, different cheeses, etc).

For sandwiches I would do finger sandwiches which would be nicer than Subway. Maybe instead of mac & cheese or mashed potato you could do some kind of soup so that it’s a soup and sandwich reception which would be quite nice for fall. Maybe even ask around if someone has a panini press and make grilled cheeses on site?

Hope some of these suggestions help!
