Hi, all – I just got engaged and my fiance and I are wanting to have a wedding for just us (Wedding for Two). We can really go anywhere, I’d just love some advice on planning something so small. Everything is so concentrated on much bigger weddings/contracts so I don’t know where to start. We love the idea of New England in the Fall. But we’re also kind of anxious to get married now! 🙂 We are not opposed to a courthouse wedding, but would want it to have a quaint look and feel, not just like a run of the mill CH. Has anyone done this? Advice? Thanks!

if I had it my way, I would have done just the two of us too. I think you just need to find a place you want to get married in, and look around for a planner 🙂
at least, that’s what I would have done, but I would have gotten married in Hawaii just the two of us.

@sashinnash: I’d suggest selecting a state and then start searching google for eloping in that state. I know your state of Tennesse has a number of places in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area that have elopement packages – sometimes chapels connected to cabins.
Another fantastic option would be too select a really beautiful and romantic inn somewhere. Usually someone there can help or suggest a wedding coordinator that could help you organize a pretty elopement. There are tons of historic inns that have lots of charm that you could choose from, all over the country 🙂

I live in New England, and I definitely think you should come here! The colors are amazing in the fall and there are some really beautiful places… Since it will just be you and the officiant (maybe a witness if legally required) I bet you could even find a venue for free!
