China Doll by Napolean, you can find it at Ulta...maybe get a sample before if you can. And Nude by dior is a good cover up as well
I had airbrush done, but I just recently purchased Makeup Forever HD foundation from Sephora after hearing rave reviews about it online, and I must say it's had amazing results for me so far! Setting powder is important too just to, or something to make sure your makeup all stays put.
I will be using a salon brand called MiraBella. It's the most expensive piece of makeup that I own ($35 per bottle) but it is the best I have ever used.
Makeup Forever HD or Face Atelier. Silicone based so you don't need a sep primer, lasts, has smooth finish, no cakey feeling, doens't settle in pore. Pro stuff.
I used NARS and it was great. it stayed on forever and didnt run or cake up!And i like Urban Decay spray matte primer. i use it daily actually cause it works so well. I would go to Sephora and have them help you try on different kinds and tell them what it's for cause they will know the best stuff to stay on all day
I also just started using Make Up Forever HD and LOVE it!! Great coverage and the girl at Sephora said that it will be great for pix.
I just tried Revlon's Colorstay foundation because of the rave reviews about it by bees, especially its longevity. I'm looking for a makeup that won't require touchups for the big day and I'm pretty happy with this foundation so far. I normally get reeeally oily throughout the day, but I didn't get any shine whatsoever after 8 hours of wearing this foundation. Here's a picture of me in it, I think it photographs pretty well too:

I had my makeup done at a Red Door Spa, so whatever they used was Elizabeth Arden. It help up great and hid my adult acne. I was told by some friends who are MAs just to be sure not to use a foundation with a lot of sunscreen in it because that will make you look pale in photos with flash or under bright light.
Personally, I'm using the Make Up Forever HD for my day, but I do love the Face Atelier, too. If I'm using drugstore brands then I mix the Revlon Photo Ready with equal parts of the Revlon Color Stay. I set this with either Smashbox Halo Powder or Urban Decay's All Nighter Spray.
Revlon Colorstay. I tried MUFE HD and ColorFx at Sephora (samples, thank god) and they just didn't take to my face, apparently. MUFE actually separated from my skin, and ColorFX just made me look old and blotchy. Other people rave, tho, so I guess I just found yet another thing my skin doesn't like. ColorStay has worked and stayed best, though you do need to practice applying it because it dries so fast!
Primer is essential, whether you use the Monistate Chafing Gel or official primer (same thing). And, of course, a setting powder.
I find ColorStay's powder sets itself pretty well onto of the liquid foundation (and with primer stays pretty nicely, too, without).
