    So what are you getting for your groom! :) Mine has been in desperate need of a new watch for quite sometime! I got him a Citizens Eco Drive! Similiar to this one but I think the one I got was nicer! I am going to get the back engraved to say "You and Me Together can do Anything" We are doing our first dance to You and Me by Dave Matthews!

    Oh nice watch and love the inscription! Since mine's wallet is in serious need of being put into the nearest garbage can (no, seriously, I call it the zombie flesh wallet cos it won't die and bits of it keep falling off), I'm trying to find him a really nice leather wallet and thinking about having his initials embossed onto it. Hopefully, he'll like it!

    Super nice watch, I think he'll love it.

    I'm getting my FI a guitar-specifically a Gibson J-185.
    There's a bit of a story behind it. He sold the one he had (it was his pride and joy) a couple years ago to be able to close the gap on our long distance relationship. He misses it dearly! So ever since a few months before we got engaged I've been stashing cash in a shoebox in my closet-just for this wedding gift. It's been the HARDEST thing to find!
    I know he is just going to adore it though, I'm so happy!

    He will for sure get a handkerchief monogrammed with our initials and our wedding date.

    A few of my other ideas:

    I was thinking of a really nice pair of cufflinks--he uses them almost on a daily basis. I saw an etsy seller who had map cufflinks and was thinking of getting him those to signify the places we've been to that hold fond memories for us.

    The other idea I had was a nice watch--but, Mr. iPhone has very expensive taste so I'm not sure if that will be doable or not yet.

    @FutureMrsBaird- that's so sweet of you :)

    I have no idea what to get my man. He wants new wheels for his longboard that he rides once a year, but I want to get him something a little more sentimental!

    I also plan to get my FI a watch! Like yours, my FI has been asking for a watch and wondering why I haven't gotten it yet! Little does he know, he'll have the best watch ever on his wedding day! I also plan to have it engraved with something like "Timeless Love" or something that ties in love and time!

    I got FI some hand-engraved cufflinks. he wears suits or pants & blazers almost every day to work so they will get a lot of use.

    I wanted to give my guy a lovely watch; something he could wear forever with a nice bit of engraving on it.  Sadly he caught me shopping for it online and vetoed the concept on the spot with the immortal line: "For that price, I don't want a watch, I want a chainsaw!"  Sigh.  Do you know how hard it is to get a chainsaw engraved?!

    I still have no clue what to get FI.  He is not your typical guy.  He doesn't wear watches and doesn't care about cufflinks.  Maybe I'll get him a really nice wallet but I don't know, any suggestions?

    my FI has a watch obsession so I will probably get him a nice Bulova watch, and because his birthday is 2 days before the wedding I will probably also get a ski pass for one of the hills near us..we've wanted to go skiing a lot in the last couple of years and just haven't had the funds.

    my FI is an avid fox hunter.  he runs his fox hounds almost daily and competes in field trials every weekend.  so to catch his dogs he uses a tracking machine and tracking collars.  he has wanted a GPS tracking machine since they first introduced them but i wanted him to wait until we got married.  so here we are gettin married therefore i get to get him a cool new toy!  he knows he's gettin it and is so excited.  we joke all the time that the only reason he finally decided to marry me is so he can get his tracking machine. lol

    Thank you for all of the great suggestions!

    @bloodgo1, Detroit Tigers tickets are an awesome wedding gift.  We don't live there anymore, but when we did my FI just loved going to games.  Wish I could do the same. And @Miss iphone, I might borrow your hankerchief idea if you don't mind.

    I will be getting him these really fancy, unique beer mugs he has had his eye on for a while. Just trying to decide when to buy them.  We live together and I need a good hiding place. Since they are so unique, I don't want to wait too long to get them in case they disappear.

    I thought of the typical ideas such as watch, tickets and all that, but I just KNOW that he will LOVE the Webber grill that I bought for him. Webber Genesis E-320, rated number 1 all around. He will appreciate this more than a diamond ring, watch, or even sports tickets, believe it or not. lol

    i was also thinking of doing the boudoir photos, but like some others, am worrying about what will happen to them after the wedding. Some other ideas are an adveturous excursion on our honeymoon or a grooms cake.

    @tammyt112-- great idea!!

    I had thought of doing some boudoir photos--but like some of the other girls-- unsure what to do with them-- don't want to pay that much money to have them tucked away in a book somewhere...

    the watch idea is pretty good-- FH has wanted a new on for awhile but think he's kind of forgotten he wants one-- doesn't really look at them too often anymore.  Our wedding is still 8 months away-- think i'll wait til it's a little closer just in case.

    I'm already paying for the entire wedding, including a new Gucci suit for him, and funding his six-month hike on the AT, so I'm probably not going to go the wrapped-up-type-of-gift route.  I am, however, keeping a journal where every day of the six months that he's gone I write another reason why I love him.  So on our wedding day I'll give him 180+ reasons why I love him.

    Thanks for the ideas Ladies - I believe I will get my man a Citizen watch as they are beautiful and something he wants.  I will also engrave it with a special note to him.

    I seem to be doing what pretty near everyone else is doing:

    I plan to have a boudoir photo shoot done, and I would love to have some tasteful black and whites framed and put up in our bedroom.

    I've also purchased an antique Elgin pocket watch, something that he's always wanted. I plan on having it engraved, with either our wedding date and some words of love, or with his regimental emblem.
