I don't have any good suggestions, but I just have to say that the second picture is the cutest thing I have ever seen!! What kind of a puppy is she? I want one :)
Ive never had a dog.. so I dont really have advice for you, but I just HAD to comment on how adorable the second pic is!!!!!
Oh my goodness!!! She is soooo precious :) What a wonderful gift (considering you've discussed it and you both want one). Maybe you could frame a photo of her and have him open that?
There is no word to describe how cute this puppy is!
I don't know what kind of original way to give him the puppy you're looking for... I'd probably give him gifts for the dog first (collar, bone..) first without mentioning the puppy..
Or, you bring the puppy in the house while he's not there, and just let him discover it during regular daily routine. I did that with a kitten, and when FI got home, the cat was excited and running all over the place, and the look on FI's face was worth a million!
That dog is sooo cute! I love the idea of somehow sneaking the dog in without him realizing it. My parents did that for me once...I came home from a friend's house and they were acting all weird and following me to my room, and when I got halfway there I heard yipping and I bolted to my room and found a puppy on my bed! :-)
Cute picture!! My fi wants a dog too, but I told him not until we get back from our wedding! There's just too much going on to be able to take care of the pup until we're settled down from all the wedding craz!
What if you tie a bow around it's neck? My fi gave me a kitten with a little red bow around her neck. He must have hide her while I was asleep cuz when I woke up there was a kitten on my tummy licking herself. I was soo excited (yet half-asleep lol).
Or have you seen the commerical where the husband wakes up and there is a hammer, than he walks into hallway to find a tape measurer...to find a picture of the house they just bought. You could do that with a bone, food, dog bed, than a collar, than a leash...than he'll walk into one room and there will be a puppy!
omg i melted!!! adorable!!!!! i actually love the pup in the santa hat and being delivered just like that... is there anyway you could have your mom or someone keep the pup and then drop him off at your house? do you have a garage or anything like that you could store the puppy in or maybe even a dog sitting agency?
She is a Golden Retriever.
Thanks for the ideas. I really like the idea of her just being in the house and he comes home to find her. Although, I am afraid that he might trip on her if he is not aware of a puppy in the house. lol
Maybe a bell and a big bow on her collar? And maybe he'll think he's losing his mind from hearing a bell somewhere in the house? Lol
*SQUEE*
I suggest leaving a series of riddles written in Heiku all over the house. One will take him to the other until eventually, puppy!
Hahahaha - thanks for all the compliments! She is adorable and i can't wait to take her home!
Oh. My. Gosh! It's so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute! We went to the humane society the other day and there was a fat little snuggly puppy. I almost didn't leave without him.

So I was not able to give a wedding gift to my husband during the wedding because money was tight since it all being spent on the wedding. Now that it has been a few months I am able to.
He has been asking for dog for close to a year now. I found an adorable puppy that I am giving to him this Christmas. But I am having a hard time finding a way to give it to him that is cute and not generic.
Do any bees out there have any cute suggestions?
Btw, for those out there that think its a bad idea to give a puppy as a present, don't worry. We both have had dogs our whole lives and know what it takes to raise a puppy. We are committed to raising a healthy puppy.
I posted a few pics of her so you can see what I am so excited about.
Thanks everyone!!
