@mizmaz:  Hi!

I am in the exact same situation.. bringing my dress from Austin, TX for my wedding in Philly on the 15th. Did you find a place to get your dress pressed?

@mizmaz:  Thanks for the quick response! I think I might take it to Bridals by Danielle. They’re a wedding dress store, so hopefully they know what they’re doing. 🙂 They said they’d charge $75 and the dress will be ready in time. Still, it’s scary to trust someone with my dress this late in the game. Hopefully it will all work out!

@nataschanen:  Where did you end up taking your dress?

Any other Philly brides have recommendations for places to have a dress steamed or cleaned? I’m also looking for a seamstress to add straps to a dress. Any recommendations would be great.

I’m in similar situation: bringing my dress on a plane from San Francisco. We’re staying at Front and Market, so I’ll be looking for places near there. Not sure about spending $75 on a steaming, though. Yikes!

@Andyisgreat:  I took it to Bridals by Danielle and they did a great job. Dont remember exactly how much I paid but I think it was around $75… It was worth it for me because my dress was really wrinkled and I didn’t want to get it pressed in advance and then stress out about it during the plane ride. Definitely recommend Bridals by Danielle. They were really nice and friendly too. Good luck!
