Hi bees so I’m going to my friends wedding as a guest next week (I’m not a bridesmaid) and am having trouble finding a dress I like! The wedding is at 6:30 pm so it’s an evening wedding and its at a historical House. The ceremony is outdoors and the reception inside. I’m wondering if this dress is appropriate or too wild? My fiancé is planning on wearing a white shirt, black dress pants and bright green bow tie to match. Be honest please!!

Not something I would wear to a wedding. But I’m also not a bright color/animal print girl.

I think it’s cute. It looks like the dress my bridesmaid’s mother wore. I’m a huge fan of bright colors.

I personally think that dress has way too much going on, and busy prints have a habit of drawing all the attention in a photo to the wearer.
Not knowing anything about the dress code, I personally would wear a nice (fancy) cocktail dress, or a more simple print/plain colour maxi dress with a statement necklace.

I think it completely depends on the crowd. What do you picture other guests wearing to this wedding? Do you think your dress will be loud in comparison? It is definitely a bold choice and not really a classic look for a wedding but if it’s your style and you feel comfortable then go for it!

It’s a cute dress – I wouldn’t wear it bc I couldn’t pull that off lol – but it’s cute.
My only concern is that you said it’s at a historical house – to me – and I could be wrong – that makes it sound a bit fancier than what you’re wearing.

I think the dress on its own is fine, but it’s not something I would wear to a wedding. Especially given that the wedding is in the evening and at a historical location, I would go with something in a solid color.

I like it but it might be a little casual for an evening wedding, a bit on the beachy side.

IMO, while the dress is cute, it’s too loud and casual for an evening wedding at a historical place. I do like it though!

That would be LOVELY for a cruise or vacation…but it’s just not appropriate for a wedding. Too bright. Too busy. Too casual.
Save it for your next trip, though!

It comes across as more daytime than evening wedding. I think you should look for something in a solid or more toned down print for an evening occasion.

I think if it was a bold pattern you’d be okay. Or just brightly colored. But both is a bit much for a evening wedding.
