I love the long, but it doesn’t seem appropriate. The short is meh. You can do better.

I’m not really feeling either dress.  The long one is really pretty on you but looks too formal for the wedding you’re describing.  And I personally think the short one shows too much skin for a wedding (although if you pair it with a cardigan or wrap, it could work).

Sorry but honestly, neither. The first is too formal and the second probably a bit too much showing on top. You have a lovely figure so sure you can find something lovely.

Have to agree with PPs, while I really like the first dress it looks too formal and maybe too warm for a July wedding. The second dress I’m just a fan of the cutouts along the top. I think a simple cocktail length dress would be more appropriate.

Love the first dress but agree that it is much too formal. With the short dress all i could think is that if it’s an outdoor wedding you are going to have some pretty crazy tan lines! Haha

I like the shorter one better as the exposed skin up top is very flattering. The dresses are so different though. Do you know any details about the wedding that can point yoi in the rught direction regarsing which dress is appropriate for the wedding?

I like the 1st dress, but if it’s too formal I would keep looking.

Shannn099:  I don’t think either is a good choice for a July 4th wedding, but both look great on you.  Where is that long dress from?  I have a wedding in November that I think it would be perfect for, it’s really lovely!

I would keep looking. The first dress doesn’t fit for a summer wedding, and the second is just ok.

Ehhhh. They look so dark for a summer wedding! Even if the event is in the evening, wear some color!

Keep looking. The first dress is beautiful, but seems too formal for the event. The second dress is cute, but looks more like a going out dress than a dress to wear to a wedding.

What about shortening the skirt of #1?

I like the second.  (Also, I don’t think it shows anything more than what a strapless dress would.)  I would just wear sunblock to avoid crazy tan lines, if applicable.
