@officialeboni:  I think we’re going to do a photobooth guestbook.  We’re planning to get a photobooth for the reception anyway (we’re actually meeting with a company next Tuesday), and I think it would be really fun to look through in the future.

Ours isn’t THAT untraditional, but it’s not just a boring old guest book. We are doing a photo album of our engagement pictures and having our guests sign on the pages. You could also have guests sign river rocks, or a quilt. Oh, I saw on Pinterest that this couple had chosen a wooden bench and had guests sign that, and then they were going to put it in their home afterwards. I thought that was really neat!

Oh I’ve also seen blank puzzles, and each guest/couple signs a piece, and then you can put it together after the wedding. :]

A few nice ones I’ve seen are messages in a bottle to the couple (little pieces of paper, you roll up and put into bottle), like others mentioned puzzles or river stones, a large print of a photo of the couple and the guests sign around it to be framed…

We are doing both a photobooth guestbook and we’ll also have a book in which we’ll ask people to draw their favorite animals and sign their names (animals because we are getting married at a zoo).

We’re buying a canvas and getting different coloured paint markers. We’re encouraging guests to sign and doodle. We’re going to hang it in our home after the wedding. I want something I can look at instead of a book filled with signatures.

Below is a picture of our “thumb print tree” we used for our guestbook. However we also did a photo album from shutterfly (since we had a coupon from David’s bridal for a free one) and it included pages for guests to sign but not many people ended up signing that one and just did the thumb print one instead. We also typed out love letters we had written to each other while we were dating and included them in that photo album.

@officialeboni:  Thanks! I bought it on Etsy.  It is now framed and hanging in our living room which we really love.

We are doing 3.

First one is your typical sign-in guestbook.

The second one is going to be a wishing tree, most likely a tabletop cherry blossom tree. We’re using wooden tags so we can keep them and hopefully make something decorative.

Third we’ll be having is just something we want solely for art decor. We’ll get a large mirror, put a cute dandelion decal on it, and our guests will sign it with paint pens.
