I have no idea what to do with my hair for the wedding. I have natural, very course hair, which if blown out is probably about 6 inches. Dont know if it will be long enough to do the style I wanted by Sept, so I dont know what to do. I thought individual tree braids but my son hates the idea. He said to get a weave but Ive never had one and wonder how that will look. I want to wear my hair up however it ends up. Any suggestions?
This is the style I would love to wear on that day but dont know if I'll have the length.
Is that her real hair is is that a large hair piece? I have basically no knowledge of of hair pieces as I am very short and natural every day. But... the pic you're showing looks like a large hair piece to me.
Would you consider a cornrow (your hair) afro clip hair extension? Something like these. Personally, I can't imagine sitting still as long as it takes to get a weave.
No, it is actually her real hair, the entire process is shown on youtube. I do like the style with the red flower. Is that a hairpiece on the back of her hair? I really dont want a weave. Ive never had one and I just dont think it would feel like me.
@FutureMrsEAG: I believe so. Here is the link I got the pic from.
The cornrow pics are beautiful. Also natural and considering adding some curly pieces to get a fuller effect.
I am natural too and have no ide what to do with my hair. I have seen so many styles and most seem too busy for my gown. I may have to end of straightening it :( but i don't want to.
I will post some of the style ideas I have seen.
The puff + pompadour is my favorite updo right now. I think it's pretty, and it keeps my hair out of my face, and it'll look formal if you add a bridal fascinator. This one is the front runner for my wedding hair style.
Offbeat Bride has some really cute natural styles!
I've never had a weave, and after seeing "Good Hair" I never will!
I'll probably blow dry or straighten a few days before the wedding and put in an updo. But below are some ideas from what I've done with my own hair:
For those who know how to work with shrinkage occurring throughout the day, there's this chunky twist out
@shychigirl: Your hair is beautiful and you have a lot of it!! Wow.
I love the cornrow with the puff in back! Very cute and elegant at the same time. Plus you can do any design with the cornrows to make it fun.
