Personally, id say something but very nicely. Suggest a different style. You should have a different hairstyle from everyone else because you are the bride!

You know, this is just the kind of thing that would have bugged me before my wedding. In fact, one of my bridesmaids picked a hairstyle that looked like mine and I was pretty upset. BUT. Just like every wise bride on weddingbee says, you will not care one bit on your wedding day! Everyones hair is different, and there are only so many hairstyles to choose from! Having asked my MIL to get a new dress, and now it has become one of her favorite comments, I suggest avoiding giving her any amo and just let it go!

I don’t think it matters. The last thing you’ll care about the day of is someone else’s hair. It also won’t be a detail you’ll remember in 10 years. As long as the style isn’t distracting (for example, a 18in tall mowhawk might be a bummer for the guests seated behind her), I wouldn’t say anything.

Hmmm… I guess you could take it as a compliment… lol! Buying an ivory dress and very similar shoes to you… There’s a good comedy in this. Seems to happen to a lot of other brides, by the amount of threads I’ve read! Look, no matter what, she’ll end up looking a bit of a fool wearing the same hair as you, an ivory gown and similar shoes. I don’t know whether to feel pity or what! Maybe you could tell FI to say something – like maybe ‘Mum, you’re going to look like a bride yourself! That’s silly’ or something and see what happens!

Go FI!!!! 🙂 I wouldn’t worry if it’s just a hairstyle then, you’ll be the centre of attention. 🙂

FutureMrsRiola:  Your FI’s mom had a hair trial?  Is that even normal?  But don’t worry, there’s no way you’re not the center of attention at your wedding, you don’t need any kind of special hair.  It’s not being the only woman in white that does it either, people really aren’t too stupid to figure out which woman is the bride without color coding her 😉 not to say it wouldn’t tick me off if DH’s mom had worn white…because it would’ve, a lot.  But as long as you keep your cool anyone who tries to dress like a bride at your wedding will just come out looking the fool, and you’ll look gracious and forgiving.  Unless you beat the woman with the bouquet or something, that’d be a bad move.
