I've been planning on getting my hair done by a professional on the big day, but yesterday when I was at Target, I decided to pick up a 1" curling iron ($10.99) and some Aussie Heat Protecting Shine Spray ($3.59) and see if my fine motor skills and/or my hair have improved at all since the last time I seriously tried to do my hair (so when I was about 15 Tongue out).

(Side note: The Aussie stuff is awesome! I've never used such a product before, but I wanted some and I know I love Aussie. It really does make my hair super-shiny, not dull and crispy-looking like it usually does after I curl it, and it smells like this rose-vanilla body spray I used to use. Smile)

Anyway, I did my hair half-up and then pinned the loose ends into sort of a bun. I'm not sure if I like it, or if I am good at doing my hair at all. I know the pictures are sort of fuzzy and I don't know what my dress will look like, but can you tell which style you like better?

I also didn't use hairspray, so I hope it stays better when I do. :)

Oh, and since my wedding isn't for more than 2 years, my hair should hopefully be about a foot longer by then.

I like the way you did your hair. The second one looks more weddingish. Hairspray will diffenently will make it look better and keep it all in place.

BTW From a hairstylist suggestion: make sure you trim your hair over the next 2 years. If you dont the ends will be so split that you will not get a great hair style. The ends will not lay flat and will stick out especially if you use heat on them! Also make sure you do weekly deep conditions. This will prevent split ends and also will keep your hair looking soft and shinny.  ( wash your hair in hot water....use a heavy cream condition and let sit for 15 mins....rinse in cool water to seal in the moisture)
