who cares if he doesn't like how they "feel in your hair" he get's to touch your REAL hair for the REST OF HIS LIFE!
I have thin/fine hair and I'm getting extentions because those are the photos i'm showing to my grandbabys one day and i wanna look awesome! =)
i will definitely be watching this! i too have fine/thin hair and am wondering what to do for the big day! i do have clip in extensions just to help add some volume to any hairdo i decide. i think it will help a little (i know what you mean about the "feeling" of them) but at least these are just clips so they dont feel as strange, especially since ur hair will be all done up, and once you take it down you can unclip them out!
I'm getting the clip in kinds as well. But doing my hair down and curly, i think. can't wait to try it out.
Gl coffeekitty! its fun...i had a woman at the mall put mine in and just curled the bottoms and i loved them...it definitely gives a different and romantical look and the clips dont hurt either
awesome, missjayellegee, i was actually worried about whether or not it would hurt, but i'd probably wear it anyway cuz it's only for a few hours, and then i get to take it all off and have a pool party at the hotel! man, i can't wait! 2 weeks off work. how i need it!
I had extensions in my hair & those totally ruined my hair! My hair is very thin, but I grew it out for the wedding. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair either until the day of the wedding! I went to my appointment & knew I wanted it either all the way down or half up...& this is what I got:

not sure exactly how ur clip ins are but the ones i have you can barely feel...i mean, after a WHILE of wearing them they dont actually hurt but when you take them out your head may feel a little sore similar to having in a headband or a different clip in for a while. youll only feel soreness on the spots where they clipped in but trust me- its definitely not impossible pain and within a few mins subsides! i like what a versatile look it is and how easy it is to just "take out" without worrying about glue/sewn in extension issues!
woops! my last post was mean for @coffeekitty...
@Lees- i think ur hair looks great but what type of extensions were they? i hear the sewn in and the glued really does a lot of damage! how did they put them in? PS- your dress is just gorgeous! congrats!
I have really fine hair too but I'm not doing extensions (my hair is long though). My stylist is using texture products to add lift on the top, like this:

And then I'm pinning curls on the back to create volume there too (more volume on the curls than this photo).
I have fine hair and will doing a low bun. My hairstylist (who I totally love and trust) has also suggested that I buy a hair piece to add volume in the bun part of the hairstyle.
A half up/half down style would not work for my fine hair because I know the half down portion will quickly lose volume and look bad.
@miss: I'm not sure what type of extensions they were, but I do know they were glue-ins. I had extensions done years ago though, they're not in my hair in that photo...that picture is just my regular hair. Thanks for the compliment on the dress girl!!
The extensions I had put in before were the sew-in kind... can you say ouch!
I haven't thought off a few clip-in pieces for some added volume; great idea!
Lees4308: I love the half-up/half-down with the veil... gorgeous!
@Lees- your hair does not look fine or thin at all in that pic! Your hair stylist did a great job, and u look beautiful!
Anyway, I have baby-fine hair that is very hard to grow long and falls flat. I'd definitely recommend an updo and/or clip-in extensions for ladies with ulta-fine hair.

First, let me start off with saying that I don't have the slightest idea of what I want to do with my hair for my wedding -- up, down, half-up?!
Extensions are out of the question -- I've had them before and my fiance hated them. (He didn't like the way they felt in my hair)
So now I'm at a loss.
HELP!
