Hi everyone. my fiancé and I are having a bit of trouble deciding whether to get married on Sunday or Saturday. We are getting married in vegas either at the ceasers or the flamingo. I wanted to do a Sunday wedding so all his co workers could be there. It’s about a 3 hour drive to vegas from our area. But I also wanted to have a fun partying reception around the whole strip. Is it wrong to have a Sunday wedding and expect people to take off monday so they can attend our reception. Or should we get married on Saturday and understand that not all of his co workers can make it. He doesn’t care if they are there. But I feel bad that people who have been there for us won’t be able to go. Am I trying to please to many people?

calicow2: have it on Saturday and whoever can make it, can make it. If you had it on a Sunday, personally, I would go for the ceremony and depending on what time the reception was, I might go for a short time bc its a 3 hr drive home and I would have work on Monday. You should not expect people to take off from work for YOUR wedding. If you have it on a Saturday, people can enjoy themselves, and stay over night if they needed to. 3 hours is a long drive.

Hands down, do it Saturday. I would leave early too if it was on a Sunday and/or not go if I had to work the next day and drive 6 hours total.

Very true. Thank you. My fiance said the same thing. I think I was just feeling really bad. Same reason I changed the venue from Puerto Rico to Vegas. Saturday it is! Thanks you guys
