My FI and I are starting to piece together what we envision for our wedding and I wanted to share it with you all. What I want is a sweet garden ceremony with lots of color and an awesome party at the reception. We are so so close to picking a venue (squee!!). My mom and I are sold on it, and my FI likes it in the pictures, but has never actually visited the venue, so we will wait for the final say until he is in love with it like we are 🙂 Our proposed venue? Whitehall Mansion and Gardens.
The front entrance of the mansion.
The formal garden. (The open space with the fountain directly above or the open space in the top right side of the photo would be the ceremony site)
More views. Normally these gardens also have tons of lush flowers too.
Now, for the colors and decor, FI and I found an inspiration board that sort of sums up what we want. Our colors will most likely be teal and purple, with some others such as light blue, green, and gold making appearances. And did I mention, I have an obsession with peacock feathers?!
I really like that the BM dress in this one is a darker purple, although I want my BM dresses to be short, and am playing with the idea of varying shades of purple, different styles, etc. We also found this picture that we liked very much.
Purple and gray is one of my favorite color combinations, and the only thing better is purple, gray, and black 🙂 I love how the groom is dressed in a different color to make him stand out, but how it all flows so wonderfully.
And finally, I found this gorgeous cake. It would be my peacock dream come true, haha.
Can you just picture this with a white instead of chocolate cake (keep the gold detail)? And purple flowers replacing the red roses? Because I can, and in my mind it is perfect.
Now, tell me your opinions, pleeease? My main concern is that while Whitehall has the gorgeous gardens I want, it is a bit too conservative of a setting for my purple peacock madness. What do you think? Is there anything that stands out to you that you love or hate?
