I would start the pill now. Usually when I start the pill, it keeps me from getting my period. If you are using it for BC, make sure you use a backup form of protection for at least a week.
Have you ever taken the pill before? If you're just starting now, I would not suggest starting to take it this week.
I have tried to skip my period before by taking the next month of pills and skipping the placebo, but all that happens is I get an extra long light period which is even more uncomfortable than just getting it over with.
My wedding is next week as well and my period came a bit late this month, even though I'm not stressed out. I think it's late because of stress and should come in the next couple days.
Totally TMI, but I had a great idea. My fiance and I just tried to "knock it down" if you know what I mean....and IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! I am sure it was late because of all my stress AND my worrying about it not coming didn't help much either. PHEW!

Ok, so...I know all about skipping your period by continually taking the pill. I was dumb and decided to NOT go on the pill because my periods are like clockwork and I was supposed to get mine a few days ago (1 1/2 weeks before wedding day). However...it didn't happen, probably because of stress.
I am worried that I will be totally unlucky and get my period the day before the wedding and be worrying the entire day about staining my dress. I read about the DivaCup, but I haven't used it so I'm scared of leaking. I just DON'T want to worry about that all day.
My question is...can I start the pill NOW, before I get my period, in order to skip it (or just have very light bleeding). Will that work? ANY advice will be helpful to me at this point.
